 An artist tour and talk will take place Sunday, August 6th at 1 pm. Mort created this very unique series of twelve watercolor and mixed media works of art to take the realism genre to new heights. His concept combines craft and technology to draw the viewer into the image on an intimate level that only truly original art can achieve using state of the art materials to extend the range of luminacity. Mort’s art has been exhibited around the world including recently in CLIMATE ACTION – INSPIRING CHANGE exhibition at the Peabody Essex Museum and the White House through the Arts in Embassies Program. His paintings are in the permanent collections of the National Gallery of Art, Smithsonian Museum of American Art, Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, Portland Museum of Art, Farnsworth Museum, the White House and many more. A lifelong naturalist, in 2007 Mort co-founded The Art of Stewardship a nonprofit initiative that supports art and environmental partnerships.
