The title PANORAMAS was chosen to represent this collection because the word evokes more than a single or narrow view; it can mean a combined perspective of respective but interwoven journeys. In our case, it acknowledges the particular experience of a father and son who are creating and reflecting on each other's work in real-time. And because the word can define more than the reach of a view of the landscape, it includes the idea of a narrative panorama, further emphasizing a connection between the past and the future.

The collection of work in the exhibit reflects that variety, encouraging participants as partners in that reflection. In that sense, the title touches a deep and central motivation of the artistic process: to examine the past and question the future, and thus generate analysis and dialogue in and of the present.
