Greg Mort, artist, author and astronomer, will speak at the Hancock Point Library on Tuesday, July 10, at 4:30 p.m. to benefit the library.
Largely-self taught as an artist, Mort is considered one of America’s foremost contemporary painters and a pre-eminent influence on art in the 21st century. His unmistakably modern creations have the classic feel of the Dutch masters but are juxtaposed with startlingly modern designs. They are included in many prominent collections including the Smithsonian, Corcoran Gallery of Art, Delaware Art Museum, Academy Art Museum, Portland Museum of Art and Bradywine River Museum.
