THE ART OF STEWARDSHIP WITH GREG MORT

American artist and environmentalist Greg Mort ill provide a lively lecture highlighting the history and influence of imagery and the role artists play as “Stewards of the Earth.”
Mort time travels with his audience displaying the earliest known human drawings, important visual renderings of major astronomical events, shocking displays of candor from the Victorian era as well as iconic images associated with current society, such as the most requested photograph from the National Archives.
The talk is punctuated with poignant works of art that have influenced the course of history with special emphasis on environmental awareness and, most specifically,ort’s passionate interest in the planet’s fresh water concerns.
The artist’s own paintings are also interjected throughout and include works from his Stewardship Series that have been or are presently on display at the White House.
